How can our roaster donate 100% of its profits to do ministry and still sustain itself?

Our roaster was started by a former pastor of 30 years. He saw amazing ministry taking place with coffee. So-he believed God calling him to use coffee to fulfill the ministry God has placed before him-he birthed a roastery with one purpose-share the love of Christ. The roastery accomplishes this in a very unique way. It is a two-fold roastery. The first section is called Roastery 7. It’s purpose is to sell coffee and sustain the roaster operations so they can operate as a ministry. There are real costs that have to be paid for the roastery to operate. If the roastery operations aren’t sustained-neither will the coffee ministry. So, Roastery 7 is the company designed to profit and sustain the roaster operations. The second part of the roaster is the section designed to donate 100% of profits to do ministry. It’s all the same coffee-but each section has its specific purpose. When coffee is sold through the Cleft, 100% of our roaster’s profits are being donated to empower ministry. Now, Cleft coffee sales (the same coffee that is sold through Roastery 7) help sustain the roaster-not from the profits of these sales, but from the volume of green beans (beans before roasting) the entire roastery purchases. The higher the quantity our roaster purchases, the lesser the price per volume. Thus, even when our roaster donates 100% of the profits from these coffee sales, it makes every pound they sell for Roastery 7 and through the Cleft more profitable. The more green beans they purchase and the more coffee they sell-makes each pound sold more profitable.. thus, sustaining the roastery and creating more opportunity for ministry funding. We’re passionate about coffee, but our heartbeat is for ministry!

What foundational theological beliefs does the Cleft adhere to?

This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” * “*Scripture is God’s revealed Word*” 2 Tim. 3:15b-17 “the sacred writings which were able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” * “*The Cleft Experience*” Exodus 33
